South Wales Kennel Association held their Championship Dog Show last weekend IWS did not have tickets but the judge Mr Nigel Worth had entry of 13 dogs of which 5 were absent on the day Best Dog and Best of Breed was Sh Ch/Am CH Castlehill’s Quantum Leap for Fynder owned by Pepi Barrington, Penni Smith and Sue Tapp RBD and BP was Antdela Oleander (Ollie) owned by Ant Andrews, BB Antdela Arabella again owned by Ant Andrews and RBB was Holbain Goosander owned by Pauline and Stuart Furber. Ant had a another very successful day as well as winning RBD in the breed Ollie was entered in the puppy and junior stakes, unfortunately Ant missed the puppy stakes but won the junior stakes from an entry of 29 in the ring with 11 absent  under Meg Panel-Carpenter  they stayed for  the puppy group which was judged by Betty Flavell and was awarded PG2, in Ant.s words “we are over the moon”WELL DONE OLLIE

I understand  that IWS’s had more success at the South Wales Show with Pauline and Stuart’s Holbain Muddy Duck getting 2nd in the Puppy Stakes Class, he was handled by Liz Waters.

Chris Attwood and Liz Brown went over to Sweden last weekend  to see the World Dog Show and it turned out to be a bit of a Busman’s Holiday, Chris  met up with Viteke Sandberg and Doonbeg Rare Flair, at the Spaniel and Retriever Specialty Show she was persuaded to take the dog into the ring and won Best Dog and Best of Breed under Chris Bexon then went on to win Group 4 under Patsy Hollings. At the world show itself IWS had an entry of 45, Chris again took Doonbeg Rare Flair into the ring and came second in a large Champion Class. Best of Breed was  Int Ch. Catanka  Besserwisser  if anyone is interested in all the results they are on the World Dog Show Website.
At the Diese Show in Ireland Gatewood Gustav at Coleenville gained his Ir Sh Ch title he was breed by Pat Wake and Shirley Whitwell and is owned by Heather , Norman and Coleenville Large at the same show Remix was BOB and Group 2.

Rosemary Taylor is still very unwell, I am sure that you will all wish to send her and Roger your best wishes at this very trying time.
