Bog Dog Blog 31st July 2008
I received the following e-mail from Sue Hempstead recently "Just to prove that Show IWS can also be successful
at working, Cuvana Loutre de Mer (Zac) who won RCC at Crufts in 2007, has now gone on to not only win 1st place in a Novice
Working Water Test but also the Open Working Water Test on Saturday 19 July. Just to prove this was not a fluke he went on
to get 2nd place in the Open Working Test on Sunday 20 July and he was awarded the Rockmoor Challenge Trophy for best overall
performance on the day. All this took place at the SIWS Breed Confined event at Chillington Hall, Codsall Wood, near
Wolverhampton and on the Sunday Lord Dunleath attended to present the awards and trophies. Besides the success
of Zac both Brise and Caz were also placed in the awards on both days. In fact there was a Cuvana IWS placed in every test.
To say the Hempstead family is over the moon is an understatement."
At Leeds Championship Dog Shows, the breed
did not have CC’s on offer but there was an entry of 19 dogs but 6 were absent on the day. Best Dog and Best of Breed
was Sh Ch Zanfi Ego owned by Liz Waters Res Best Dog was Fynder Seabiscuit of Glenderry owned by Vicke Norman-Massa,
Best Bitch Byjazz Razzamatazz at Risalpur owned by Alison McNaught and Reserve Best Bitch and Best Puppy was Hoklbain Goosander
