Bog Dog Blog 9th August 2008

Sorry that the news is a bit late this week, Don and I took our youngest Granddaughter to the seaside for a few days.

(Note from webmaster Jaki Porter: Sorry it's even later - I've had young visitors too!)

At the  National Gundog Association Championship Dog Show on August 2nd, IWS were judged by Jenny Miller Dog CC and Best of Breed was Sh Ch Zanfi Ego owned by Liz Waters, RDCC was Malanis Dudley owned by Lisa Walker, BCC was Cuboglah West Coast Lady owned by Martyn Ford, RBCC Stanegate Sparks will Fly (AI) owned by Judith Carruthers and Best Puppy was Fynder Sea Biscuit of Glenderry owned by Vicki Norman –Massa. Ego went on to win Reserve Best in Show, the Best in Show Judge being Mrs P Williams

Having previously won the CC at Windsor and Peterborough it was Cuboglach West Coast Lady’s important 3rd CC win  she is now a Sh Champion, subject to KC confirmation so congratulations to her and her owner and breeder Martyn Ford.

The breed has had more success, at Bake well Show not only did Fynder Sea Biscuit of Glenderry win best puppy and best of breed he then went on to win the Gundog Puppy Group and then the Gundog Group, the breed judge was Mrs Pat Wake and the Gundog Group judge was Mr R McMaster

I had an e-mail from Marion Kong last week; she is recovering from her recent operation well and has started to go out walking with the dogs although she can’t keep up with Liberty yet.

I was sorry to hear that Sharon Peck and Alan Spinks have lost Doonbeg Vindaloo at Pentandra who most   of you would know as Denby he was nearly twelve years old, he was breed by Chris and Keith Attwood and was by Giorra of Currabell (imp) and Colyndell Some Like It Hot I remember him thoroughly enjoying his day at the IWSA Open Show last October when he won the Zalute Cup for Best Veteran.

Don’t forget to let me know if you have any win at any Open Shows as I cannot always get the results.

While I am on the subject of Shows don’t forget to put in your diary the 12th October which is the date of the IWS Open Show,   the judge, who is Greg Siner is coming all the way from the USA so lets give him a good entry The schedules will be available soon .
