I refer to last week’s blog and apologise for any upset that may been caused in the reporting of the results at the Goyt Valley Gundog show, I was reporting on information given to me at the time. I have since been contacted by a couple of interested parties and have been given a different perspective of the events. It was not my intention to upset anyone but as with everything that appears on the blog, it is the result of information given to me by others.

Sad news from Adele Blades and Ant Andrews that Shannonlea Nicotania  has died at the age of seven years from Immune Mediated Anaemia

Also some very sad news from Finland. Catanka Winnie the Pooh aka Arthur  was diagnosed with Benign Hormonal Anal Adenoma and Seidi took the decision to save him from any more discomfort to say good-bye to him. Arthur was born on the 30th December 1997 and was from the first Cantanka litter, he was very successful in the show ring becoming a FCI International, Finnish, Swedish and Norwegian Champion. He was an all breeds show group winner and was Best Male and BOS in the 2003 specialty alongside his sister Waltzing Matilda who was BOB under Pepi Barrington (Fynder). He  ended his show career as a Veteran and  was  Best of Breed winner in 2006; he had an easygoing personality and was often lent to handlers in Junior Handler competitions. Our thoughts are with Adele, Ant and Seidi and her family at this sad time.
