Not only did Ant Andrews ‘s Ollie gain his Sh Ch Title at The Scottish Kennel Club
Show last weekend but the Bitch CC winner and Best of Breed Foulby Fire Opal also gained her title (subject to
KC approval) having gained her first CC when she was young at Blackpool in June 2007 her second CC at Birmingham National
at the beginning of May this year , the win in Scotland was her important third one, Congratulation to you all.
Our Secretary Chris Attwood also was delighted to win the Dog CC (his first) with her Chinese Crested young dog Souldrop
Chinese Whispers in Scotland, he won from an entry of 59.Her success continues as although because of other commitments
she could not go to Bath Championship Dog Show this weekend, Doonbeg Kaleidoscope For Brodiegan bred by
Chris & Keith won the Dog CC from the Minor Puppy Dog Class this was a splendid win as there was an entry of 79 dogs
Gundog Day at Bath was today, where IWS had classes but did not have any CC’s on offer, on paper the entry of
11 was good for what amounts to an Open Show for the breed but unfortunately only a total of three ( 1 dog and 2 bitches)
were present for the judge Mr D Craig to go over Best Dog was Holbain Muddy Duck owned by Pauline and Stuart Furber and Ian
Biggs, Best Bitch was Holbain Goosander owned by Pauline & Stuart Furber and the Reserve Best Bitch was Holbain Capercaillie
also owned by them.
News from Ireland at the Hiberian Championship Show Best of Breed was Sh Ch/Ir Sh Ch/Su
ShCH Gatewood Invitation from Coleenville (Remix) she went on to win the Group and Ir Ch Gatewood Katerina at Coleenville
(Kat) came second in the Championship Stakes, they are both owned by Heather,Norman & Coleen Large Well Done
I am pleased to say that Gary Somers -Rochford is at home after a spell in hospital,we all wish you a speedy
recovery Gary.
The entries have been announced where IWS will be awarded the first set of CC’s in Ireland
at the Kennel Club Special Crufts Qualifying Show , at the end of May, there are 17 IWS entered and the Judge from England
is Mr N Waters (Zanfi)
I have received an e-mail from Susanne Nilsson in Finland, she has kindly sent two
photo’s of the Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex winners from the Speciality in Finland 2009 which she thinks may
be of interest to the members.
I sent the latest mailing to all fully paid up members last Monday, so you should
