Bog Dog Blog 23rd May 2009
Debbie Robinson has e-mailed me with details about the next IWS Mingle, it will be held on Saturday 3rd October and wlll take place on Wimbledon Common

Not only did Ant Andrews ‘s Ollie gain his Sh Ch Title at The Scottish Kennel Club Show last weekend  but  the Bitch CC winner and Best of Breed Foulby Fire Opal also gained her title (subject to KC approval) having gained her first CC when she was young at Blackpool in June 2007 her second CC at  Birmingham National at the beginning of May  this year , the win in Scotland was her important third one, Congratulation to you all.

Our Secretary Chris Attwood also was delighted to win the Dog CC (his first) with her Chinese Crested young dog Souldrop Chinese Whispers in Scotland, he won from an entry of  59.Her success continues as although because of other commitments she could not go to   Bath Championship Dog Show this weekend, Doonbeg Kaleidoscope For Brodiegan  bred by Chris & Keith won the Dog CC from the Minor Puppy Dog Class this was a splendid win as there was an entry of 79 dogs

Gundog Day at Bath was today, where IWS had classes but did not have any CC’s on offer, on paper the entry of 11 was good for what amounts to an Open Show for the breed but unfortunately only a total of three ( 1 dog and 2 bitches)  were present for the judge Mr D Craig to go over Best Dog was Holbain Muddy Duck owned by Pauline and Stuart Furber and Ian Biggs, Best Bitch was Holbain Goosander owned by Pauline & Stuart Furber and the Reserve Best Bitch was Holbain Capercaillie also owned by them.

News from Ireland at the Hiberian Championship Show Best of Breed was  Sh Ch/Ir Sh Ch/Su ShCH Gatewood Invitation from Coleenville (Remix) she went on to win the Group and Ir Ch Gatewood Katerina at Coleenville (Kat) came second  in the Championship Stakes, they are both owned by Heather,Norman & Coleen Large Well Done

I am pleased to say that Gary Somers -Rochford  is at home after a spell in hospital,we all wish you a speedy recovery Gary.

The entries have been announced where IWS will be awarded the first set of CC’s in Ireland at the Kennel Club Special Crufts Qualifying Show , at the end of May, there are 17 IWS entered and the Judge from England is Mr N Waters (Zanfi)

I  have received an e-mail from Susanne Nilsson in Finland, she has kindly sent two photo’s of the Best of Breed and Best Opposite Sex winners from the Speciality in Finland 2009 which she thinks may be of interest to the members.

I sent the latest mailing to all fully paid up members last Monday, so you should have received all the latest information by now

Thank you all for the news, keep it coming
