Bog Dog Blog 26th September 2009
Following on his success in being Best Of Breed at Darlington Championship Show last week-end, Antdela Oleander (Ollie) went on to win Gundog Group 3 under Dr Ron James, congratulations Ant.

Alan Spinks has sent me an e-mail – I'm afraid that the “jungle drums” made an error last week. It was actually Drue (Doonbeg Meant to be at Pentandra ) that achieved his Gold Good Citizens last weekend, handled by Sharron, not Lilly as I reported in the Blog. Lilly does have her Gold but achieved it some time ago, my apologies to Sharon and Alan for this error, but congratulations to  Sharron & Drue.

I have received the following e-mail from Vibeke Sandberg “ In the latest issue of Danish Kennel Club’s Magazine HUNDEN (the Dog) it was announced that DFDS Seaways operating the ferry Harwich-Esbjerg has agreed to take dogs on board for the first time. The dog must be in the car at all times and the car will be shaded. During the trip the dog will be allowed out for a walk and there will be a place for “going to the toilet” too. If anyone should be interested in entering their dogs for WDS in Denmark in June 2010 this will make it easier getting over here with dogs I hope it will encourage members of the IWSA to participate and make the World Dog Show an even bigger dog event and an occasion to promote the Irish Water Spaniel”

I sent out the schedules for the IWSA Open Show together with the latest copy of TopKnot yesterday so you should all received them by the middle of next week (that is if the postmen are working)

Calling all of you who want to be on the IWSA judging list – don’t forget to book your place at the IWSA Seminar in November. The seminar is one which all prospective judges have to attend under KC Rules

Chris Attwood, having been in pain for a few weeks has had a scan on her shoulder  and she has snapped a tendon in her shoulder, now waiting to see the orthopaedic surgeon. I am sure you will all join me in wishing her well.

I would like to thank all of you who e-mail me with feedback on the blog, it is nice to hear your views.

Keep the news coming.
