At the IWSA Water Picnic last June just over £150 was collected from the raffle and sale of cakes, I am pleased to tell you that the Association has therefore sent a donation for that amount to McMillan Nurses.

Last week-end was the Belfast  Dog Show Society Dog Show there was an entry of 9 with one being absent on the day, three exhibitors travelled to Belfast from England, the Judge was Mrs Ann Moss, the Dog CC and Best of Breed was Holbain Muddy Duck owned by Pauline and Stuart Furber and Angie and Ian Biggs, Reserve Doc CC was Doonbeg Leap of Faith By Currabell  owned by Emer Mooney, Bitch CC was SHCH/IR SH CH/SU CH Gatewood Invitation From Coleenville owned by Heather, Norman and Coleen Large Reserve Bitch CC was Malanis Betts owned by Hannah Cooper and Best Puppy was Malanis Tillymint also  owned by Hannah.

News from America that Ch Poole’s Ide Who’d A Thought It owned by Greg Siner from his Bitch Ch Poole’s Ide Then There’s Maude and Judith Currathers Ch Fynder Freethinker won back to back Best in Shows last weekend.

Because of parking problems at the Canine Academy, the committee have had to find a new venue for the Open Show on the 1st November, the venue we found is not as central as Nottingham but as they offer facilities for camping, the committee decided it would be a good opportunity to view the venue to see if would be suitable for our Championship Show in the future. The judge for the show is Mrs Daphne Bailey who is a well known judge, although she does not own an IWS she has shown interest in the breed for many years.
