‘The Irish Water Spaniel does not suffer from any breed specific diseases but they can contract any disease common
to all dogs. All breeding stock should be hip scored as a minimum requirement. Below is some further information and tests
available for some of the diseases which more commonly affect the IWS.
The Field Spaniel Society are holding a health testing day on 7th February open
to all breeds. Please take a look at the programme to see if any of the tests are of interest to you. Contact details for
appointments, where necessary, are on the programme.
