Members Puppy List Criteria

MEMBERS LITTERS

Criteria for Entry on to the Puppy List

 

  1. Breeders must be members of the Irish Water Spaniel Association for the last two consecutive years.

  2. The breeder will ensure that both the Sire and dam of the litter are fully registered with the Kennel Club.

  3. The breeder will ensure that every effort is made to place the puppies into suitable homes and will not sell to dealers or pet shops and will not sell puppies aged under seven weeks.

  4. The breeder will register the litter with the Kennel Club

  5. The breeder will ensure that every puppy buyer is provided with a signed pedigree (at least three or more generations) and KC registration certificate at time of collection or within six weeks of purchase

  6. The breeder will ensure that every puppy buyer is supplied with diet and care sheet.

  7. The breeder will ensure that the litter has been properly wormed at least twice prior to seven weeks of age.

  8. The breeder will be encouraged to take responsibility for an Irish Water Spaniel bred by themselves which is in need of re-homing.

  9. The breeder will pay a sum in payment  (currently £25)  for entry on to the puppy list as determined by the Committee.

  10. Details required for the puppy list:
  • Date of birth of the litter
  • The number of each sex
  • The name of the Sire (+ Hip Score)
  • The name and date of birth of the Dam (+ Hip Score)
  • Whether this is her first, second or third litter, the date of birth of her previous litter if not her first)
  • Any other health checks- e.g eyes, elbows, thyroid
  • COI (based on 10 generations) if known

It is strongly recommended that the puppy is insured at the time of sale

Members wishing to have their litter details published on this site must complete the form and send it and the payment of £25 to Mrs J Gomm.

Listers are asked to advise when puppies are sold.

Litter details will be removed after 8 weeks on this site
